ROH broadcasts – COVID-19 update

19 March 2020

This morning we received the following information from More2Screen, the content providers for Royal Opera House live broadcasts:

SWAN LAKE – LIVE BROADCAST CANCELLATION

We can now confirm that the Live broadcast of Swan Lake has unfortunately been cancelled on April 1st – it’s very unlikely that the Opera House will be open by April 1st.  The ROH are working to provide a recorded version from an earlier season – this will be available on DCP and Blu Ray with the available screening period still to be determined (either late April or early May onwards TBC)

FIDELIO

It is planned to release a recorded version filmed recently during the earlier part of the run at the Royal Opera House – this will be available on DCP and Blu Ray. We don’t have a current date that it can be screened from yet but possibly will be from late April onwards. Please note that the role of Florestan will be performed by David Butt Philip on this future recording as Jonas Kaufmann was unfortunately unwell at the time.

CAVELLERIA/ PAGLIACCI, DANTE PROJECT & ELEKTRA

We’re waiting for news about when the Opera House will re-open and are in daily contact with them  – once we have further information on these titles , we will of course be in touch with you. [message ends]

CORN HALL, DISS message:

If you have tickets for any of these screenings and are happy to hold onto them for reuse on a revised date (to be advised), please do so and we will be in touch as soon as we have further news. If you would prefer to receive a credit note for a future performance, please make contact with our Box Office on: boxoffice@thecornhall.co.uk

Thank you for your patience and support at this very difficult time.
