The Corn Hall appoints new CEO

The Corn Hall has appointed Stuart Hobday to be its new Chief Executive. He started on September 1st.

A new role for The Corn Hall, Mr Hobday is no stranger to heading up arts venues. He was Director of Norwich Arts Centre between 2004-2012 leading the organisation through a concerted programme of re-branding, change and growth. He then went on to found and produce the new Norwich Science Festival with The Forum in 2016, a city-wide event that has become an annual fixture in the calendar. For the past three years he has been Creative Director of The Exchange in Twickenham overseeing the opening and development of this new London theatre.

Stuart said “I am delighted to be starting the job at The Corn Hall. It’s a great venue that is already a hub of arts activity and has a big connection to the Diss public. I hope I can bring my experience to help it survive and thrive into the future.”

Chair of Diss Corn Hall Trust Ray Bryant welcomed Stuart: “We are delighted to be welcoming Stuart on board at this crucial time and we are confident that his experience, vision and energy will take The Corn Hall forward in the next exciting stage of its development.”
