A Brush with the Past Exhibition

Venue: The Corn Hall

Inspired by their investigations in to the areas brush making industry the exhibition contains vibrant and diverse artwork created by year 8 Wymondham College Students in collaboration with artist Maz Jackson, winner of national and international awards and historian Colin Howey.

Admire Roydon Primary School Year 5’s quirky stop-motion animations inspired by recordings in Diss Museum’s collection of memories of people who used to work in the Aldrich Bros. brush factory.

Contemplate a documentary film exploring Diss’ brush making past and speculating on the future for industry in the town which has been made by a group of Diss teenagers in conjunction with ERM CIC, MTM Youth services and Diss Town Council.

Diss Museum and Wymondham Heritage Museum will also be displaying items which were made or used in the local brush making factories.
