Blake Morrison and The Hosepipe Band
Venue: The Corn Hall
Best known for his memoirs And when did you last see your father? and Things My Mother Never Told Me, the third part of Blake Morrison's memoir, Two Sisters has just been published. To celebrate the launch - which has received rave reviews - we have added a special 'In Conversation' segment where he will discuss his new book.
Blake began his career as a poet and his collection Shingle Street is the starting point of his collaboration with multi-instrumentalist members of The Hosepipe Band. Accompanied by original music composed by the band, Blake will read from his collection which focuses on Suffolk, particularly its eroding coastline.
"Blake Morrison and The Hosepipe Band's performance of Shingle Street was an absolute highlight of this year's festival." Director Essex Book Festival
