Closer to Nature – Meet the artists

Join the Artists Maria Pavledis and Lucy Kayne who will be in the gallery and will talk about their work in the exhibition.
Places are free but booking is advisable as space is limited.
Two artists explore their relationship with nature.
Maria Pavledis creates images using smoke to burn the paper, combined with natural plant dyes. The viewer is invited closer to nature, the marks echoing the hypnotic textures, rhythm's and patterns of insect and animal life around us, creating a dreamlike experience.
Lucy Kayne exhibits monochrome photographs of natural forms, highlighting the details, textures, shapes and shadows that we often miss as we go about our busy lives.
