Corn Hall comedy Club – Jan ’20
James Dowdeswell (MC) – A headline act both in the UK and abroad, his TV appearances include Extras and Russell Howard's Good News.
‘a real master of the comedian’s craft', being able to almost seamlessly layer joke upon joke upon joke’ Chortle
Boothby Graffoe (headliner) -A rare thing, Boothby Graffoe is an amazing musician and also a very funny comedian. He doesn’t often appear live these days save for supporting Canadian superstars Barenaked Ladies in concert, so this is a rare opportunity.
'a multi-talented, darkly hilarious, grade A British eccentric, who can twist your funny bone one minute, and break your heart the next. A musical comedy act who is more musical than most musicians, and funnier than most comedians.' Stewart Lee
'If I had to compare him to anyone, it would be Spike Milligan.' Omid Djalili
Adam Jamal – Hailing from Canada, Adam graduated from the prestigious Second City Stand-Up program and has appeared on Canadian television over a ten times in 2014 alone. He headlined the famous Yuk Yuk’s Stand-Up Comedy Club in Hamilton, Ontario, has performed throughout North America and is notorious for seamlessly incorporating his unique life experiences into his act, making him a exciting and intriguing comic to observe.
Alistair Beckett King – is a legendary comedian, in that there is little historical evidence that he exists. But he does exist. Leicester Mercury Comedian of the Year 2017, Alasdair has featured on BBC radio as a comedian and sketch writer, and performed stand-up across the UK, at Glastonbury, Citadel Fest, the Udderbelly Southbank and at the Edinburgh Fringe. He knows quite a lot about 19th century magicians. Tourists often ask to have their photo taken with him, presumably impressed by this.
"A suave stand up with some killer lines" Arthur Smith
"Delicious writing and exceptional observations" Chortle
