Simon Wilkins (support)
Initially classically trained on guitar, Simon Wilkins began playing in his first band in 1973. After taking a degree in music he continued to play in bands, teach and to record music for TV and film. He performed in Tony Biggin’s secular oratorio The Gates of Greenham and has recorded sessions for Galen Ayers amongst many others.
More recently he has toured with Alan Davey’s Psychedelic Warlords and closer to home, played fretless bass in Max Middleton’s blues band.
On moving to Norfolk some years ago he started writing with the acoustic guitar and loop pedal, creating layers, textures and colours reflecting the landscape and big, East Anglian skies abundant here, echoing his other passion photography.
