Peter Frazer Davis (1926- 2000)

Peter Davis graduated from the Royal College of Art in 1951 with a First Class Diploma ARCA, and was awarded a silver medal for work of special distinction. The training included learning the techniques and draughtsmanship of the Old Masters.

Davis has described his intention “To create a synthesis. Of having the freedom to draw on aspects of past and modern movements without restriction in order to share a view of the human condition”. Among the qualities which characterise his work are warmth, humanity, whimsicality and charm.
