This performance will now take place on Thursday 8th October.
After almost 20 years as a circus strong lady, performing feats-of-strength, Charmaine Childs has created this circus-theatre show. With circus physicality and verbal storytelling she celebrates the ways in which we are all powerful. How, even in an uncertain world, we can find strength beyond just lifting heavy things.
Optimistic, uplifting, funny, physical and at times moving. Autobiography intersects with stories from real people around the UK about their experiences of power, revealing moments of strength, resilience, connection, choice and change.
‘… Stories that are touching, tragic and true… told through circus skill and humour… empowering and encouraging to watch, as well just good old fashioned entertainment.’ Joyce Henderson, Complicite
‘compassionate, moving and funny’ Charlotte Mooney, Ockham’s Razor
‘Spectacular and very special, people are going to be talking about this non-stop’ Jo Whiley, BBC
Approx 1hr 10mins no interval (possible post show Q&A)
