The Budapest Cafe Orchestra

Venue: The Corn Hall
If you didn’t see the BCO previously, be sure to catch the hugely entertaining ensemble this time round.
Comprising four fabulous players of violins, guitar, accordion, double bass, saz and balalaika, the BCO play powerful and driving folk-based music inspired by the music of European gypsies. From impassioned Hungarian Czardas and tender Russian folk melodies to rollicking Moldavian dances and bittersweet Jewish laments.
‘...the fiery vivacity and awe-inspiring musicianship of the finest purveyors of Eastern European gypsy music... will leave you with a grin on your face and rhythm in your feet…’ Times
‘Joining the Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain stands the Budapest Cafe Orchestra, hugely entertaining, immense skill and profound musicianship.’ Reading Chronicle
