Our festive events begin in November with our Christmas Craft Fair on Saturday 15 November. This is the perfect opportunity to tick off all your Christmas shopping with a host of wonderful local makers and crafters. Find hand-made, original and unique gifts, treats and decorations and enjoy Christmas shopping in a warm and friendly atmosphere. Admission is free and The Corn Hall Café and Bar will be open all day. 

Join us on us on Wednesday 26 November for a special Festive Sip and Paint evening with the lovely Sarah Rawlinson of Day Design. Whether you’re planning on creating a very personal gift, or a stunning piece of festive décor for your home, let Sarah guide you step by step to create your own fabulous floral painting.

The evening includes a glass of fizz on arrival, all the equipment you need and a yummy cheese platter and a top up of fizz when we pause for a break halfway through (and the bar will be open throughout).

Love a quiz? Book now for a festive edition of our popular quiz night on Wednesday 3 December. Team up with friends and join us to test your brain cells and have fun raising funds for The Corn Hall. As ever everyone is welcome so come along and test your general knowledge and enjoy a great night out. There are fantastic prizes to be won too – all kindly donated by local businesses. The Corn Hall Bar will be open all evening and food will be available to buy from a guest food vendor.

Unleash your creativity and create something beautiful to decorate your home with this festive season in our Christmas Wreath Making workshops with Sarah from Sassy’s Floral Design on Thursday 4 and Friday 5 December. Under Sarah’s expert guidance, you’ll create a beautiful and luxurious Christmas or Festive themed wreath.

Come and enjoy a few hours of creative fun in a relaxed environment. All materials, tools, ribbons and decorations required to build your luxury Christmas wreath are included in the price, plus you’ll enjoy a glass of fizz on arrival and nibbles. The Corn Hall Bar will be open throughout.

Christmas Crooners on Thursday 4 December is a traditional treat is not to be missed. Packed with great music, laughs and audience participation this show celebrates the best singers from the golden age of swing and the big band era in a fun-filled traditional style holiday special.

The show will include festive favourites such as ‘Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas’, ‘White Christmas’, ‘Chestnuts Roasting on an Open Fire’, ‘Santa Baby’, ‘It’s Beginning to Look a lot Like Christmas’ and ‘Santa Claus is Coming to Town’. It’s just the ticket to get you into the festive spirit.

Don’t miss our perennial favourite, A Swinging Christmas, on Friday 5 December when the Chris Ingham Quintet featuring Joanna Eden (aka Jazz at the Movies) return to deliver a stocking-full of delightful festive jazz. Holiday classics and curiosities combine in a delightfully jazzy blend of the sublime, sentimental and plain silly.

Treat your family to the most magical Christmas surprise with Breakfast with Santa here in The Corn Hall Café on Saturdays 6 and 13 December. It’s a wonderful way to begin the festivities and something that all the family can enjoy together in a lovely festive atmosphere. Your breakfast will include a breakfast bap, pastry selection and drinks. With Christmas activities on the tables, a face painter on hand to decorate little faces, a visit to the jolly fella in red with a gift and a lovely family photo opportunity, you’ll create memories to cherish. This will be the second year that we’ve offered these events and they sold out in 2024. Book early!
