Writing a Solo Show

Writing a solo piece can be a brilliant way to showcase your talents and keep creative but it can sometimes feel daunting knowing where to start. How do you structure your ideas and create dialogue and nuanced story within a monologue? 

 

In this workshop writer-performer Sadie Clark will cover the basics of writing a solo show, including helpful exercises to get your ideas on the page, building narrative in a one-person piece and discussions on how to explore your unique voice through monologue. 

 

Sadie’s sell-out solo show Algorithms won the TV Foundation Stage to Screen Award 2020, and she was named one of The Guardian’s ’12 Theatre Stars for 2020’.
