Will Teather – Magic Realism

8 December – 6 January   NB. From Sunday 24 to Sunday 31 December the Gallery will be open at slightly different hours in line with the Corn Hall operation times during our Christmas pantomime. These will generally be 12 noon to 7pm but please check if you are planning to travel.

This exhibition brings together a cross section of the artist's diverse output including playful compositions based upon pantomime performers at the Corn Hall. 

 

Teather's paintings often depict curious characters caught up in uncanny situations. They are influenced by magical-realism and lifting motifs from diverse sources such as Flemish still life, baroque art and Weimar painters.

 

Will Teather's work has been exhibited internationally to acclaim and is widely collected.
