DissCover Book Festival

The Corn Hall Diss held the inaugural DissCover book festival from 1 – 3 May 2026. The festival aimed to celebrate both the rich literary heritage of our region and authors from further afield and brought together readers, writers, and the wider community for a weekend of inspiration and discovery.
The festival opened on Friday 1st May, with a literary walk along Mere Street and a literary quiz in the evening.
On Saturday 2nd May we welcomed a group of brilliant women writers who, with humour, warmth and emotional honesty, explored love, friendship and self-discovery across contemporary and historical settings, capturing the joys, challenges and realities of life.
On Sunday 3rd May we were joined by some of East Anglia’s finest nature writers who, through close attention and love of the landscape, showed how noticing, tending and creatively responding to the natural world can enrich everyday life – from gardens and fields to birds and night skies.
There were book signing sessions throughout both days with books on sale from Diss Publishing.
With special thanks to Lucy Kayne for documenting this wonderful weekend through this photo gallery.
