Welcome to the DissCover Book Festival

The Corn Hall Diss welcomes you to the inaugural DissCover, a book festival that aims to celebrate both the rich literary heritage of our region and authors from further afield. We hope to bring together readers, writers, and the wider community for a weekend of inspiration and discovery.

The festival opens on Friday 1st May, with a literary walk along Mere Street. The day continues with a special sale of pre-loved books at The Corn Hall Diss, organised by Oxfam, followed by a literary quiz in the evening.

On Saturday 2nd May we are delighted to welcome a group of brilliant women writers who, with humour, warmth and emotional honesty, explore love, friendship and self-discovery across contemporary and historical settings, capturing the joys, challenges and realities of life.

On Sunday 3rd May we are joined by some of East Anglia’s finest nature writers who, through close attention and love of the landscape, show how noticing, tending and creatively responding to the natural world can enrich everyday life — from gardens and fields to birds and night skies.

There will be book signing sessions throughout both days, when you can buy books from your favourite authors, all supplied by Diss Publishing.

We have worked hard to keep ticket prices affordable so that you can spend the whole day with us. Wristbands will be provided so you can come and go as you please, but we hope you’ll not only catch your favourite authors, but will sample those less familiar to you. And if you’re really not able to spend the whole day at the festival, there will be a limited number of tickets available for just the morning, afternoon or evening session.

See you there!
