David Hockney – Adventures in Print
David Hockney, perhaps the country’s favourite living artist, found fame as much for his prints as his paintings; a naturally gifted draughtsman, Hockney immediately felt in his element when he tried his hand at etching as a student. Our brief survey, which coincides with the National Portrait Gallery’s ‘David Hockney: Drawing from Life’, follows his career from his days as a ‘blonde bombshell’ in the early ‘60s to his current exploration of iPad drawings.
Exhibition Viewing Saturday 20 June 11am – 1pm
Join curator, David Case, as he discusses Hockney’s work and career.
Hockney takes the director Randall Wright on an exclusive tour of his archives and into his studio, and looks back at his formative years in the British Pop Art scene. For more information click here.
