A major instrumentalist, a droll raconteur and perilously close to
becoming a Jazz Knight, Alan has won numerous UK Jazz Awards for Best
Clarinettist, Best Alto and Best Baritone Saxophonist and is one of the
UK’s most treasured and entertaining jazzmen. Tonight
he plays the rich, swinging and evocative compositions of Duke
Ellington and Billy Strayhorn.
