Britpop. Indie. Absolute anthems.
Step back into the golden age of indie anthems and swaggering guitars as the Common People Britpop night makes its debut at The Corn Hall Diss on Saturday 3rd October.
This is your chance to relive the soundtrack of the 90s, from singalong classics to dancefloor fillers that defined a generation.
Taking to the decks as special guest is legendary DJ and broadcaster Steve Lamacq, a true champion of the Britpop scene who helped shape the sound of the decade.
Common People - the night dedicated to 90s britpop, indie and dance - has been putting on events across the east for the past decade - including triumphant sets at Latitude Festival. Jon and Dave, the duo behind the event, can't wait to make their debut in Diss.
Expect wall-to-wall hits from the likes of Blur, Oasis, Pulp, Suede, Sleeper and more, alongside deep cuts and cult favourites that will transport you straight back to the era of parkas, pints and pure attitude. Whether you lived it first time round or discovered it later, this is a night built for big choruses and even bigger energy.
The night runs from 7:30pm through to midnight, giving you plenty of time to dance, reminisce and soak up the atmosphere in one of Norfolk’s most unique venues.
Tickets are £15 inc fees, excellent value for a night of pure unadulterated nostalgia.
So grab your mates and get ready to belt out every word. Common People is coming to Diss – don’t miss it.
