DISS • NORFOLK

Corn, Criminals and Concerts

Venue: Corn Hall

Alun Howkins, Honorary Professor in History, UEA will take us on an illustrated journey through the history of the Corn Hall from 1854 to the present day. He’ll explain why it was built, what it was used for, and what was so special about its design that it even received a write-up in the London Illustrated News of the day. He’ll also give an insight into the changes that have happened over the years in the Heritage Triangle, the oldest part of Diss.

As one of our first events, this will also give you an opportunity to see the newly refurbished building.

If you have access issues please contact the Box Office on 01379 652241 to complete your booking so we can ensure that your visit is as comfortable and safe as possible. Due to fire safety requirements we have a limit on how many wheelchair spaces we can accommodate so these need to be reserved in advance to avoid disappointment.
