Corn, Criminals and Concerts
Alun Howkins, Honorary Professor in History, UEA will take us on an illustrated journey through the history of the Corn Hall from 1854 to the present day. He’ll explain why it was built, what it was used for, and what was so special about its design that it even received a write-up in the London Illustrated News of the day. He’ll also give an insight into the changes that have happened over the years in the Heritage Triangle, the oldest part of Diss.
As one of our first events, this will also give you an opportunity to see the newly refurbished building.
