Miss Julie

The Corn Hall is delighted to welcome a brand new theatre company, Barefaced Theatre with an exciting production of Strindberg's Miss Julie.

As the sun sets on Midsummer's Eve, servants and aristocrats alike revel in the merriment. Songs are heartily sung, and wine flows freely as Miss Julie, a beautiful young aristocrat, and Jean, her father's valet, enter a dangerous yet thrilling duet of gender politics and class divisions. Once banned for almost fifty years, Strindberg's sexually charged, bitter, and provocative play examines the ever-shifting power dynamics between two very different people from two very different worlds.

Running time 95 minutes with an interval.

Suitable for ages 15+
