The Corn Hall Diss are pleased to welcome back Horn Factory, for an evening of fast‑moving, hard‑hitting and toe‑tapping contemporary jazz from this spectacular 18‑piece big band, featuring outstanding soloists and ensemble players from across East Anglia. Horn Factory perform an impressive and wide‑ranging programme of contemporary big band jazz, celebrating composers and arrangers such as Buddy Rich, Bob Mintzer, Quincy Jones, Oliver Nelson, Maynard Ferguson, James Morrison, Bobby Shew, Sammy Nestico and Gordon Goodwin. The band also brings big‑band muscle to music more often associated with smaller ensembles, with arrangements of works by Thelonious Monk, Joe Henderson, Chuck Mangione, Chick Corea and Horace Silver. There is nothing quite like the power, precision and sheer excitement of a big band heard up close — not to be missed.
