The Care Experience

Back in January 2023, The Corn Hall hosted an exhibition and a series of events called The Care Experience.
The Exhibition, No Colours for my coat, reflects Paul Yusuf’s experience of growing up in care constantly being labelled inappropriately and fighting racial prejudice. Paul’s artwork and poetry raises issues that are still relevant today. Alongside the exhibition work from Norfolk virtual school for children in care and previously in care was showased.
The events consisted of an evening of music and poetry that reflected on their experience of being brought up in care and a care Experience Debate that featured a keynote speech and a panel debate that discussed what can be done to improve the experience of growing up in the Care system.
Alongside a diverse range of events that The Corn Hall put on, we are also passionate about meaningful work that brings a positive influence to our community.
