John Kiki Exhibition launch is a huge success

On Saturday John Kiki’s exhibition got off to a busy and enthusiastic start. John Kiki is a major English figurative painter based in Great Yarmouth, and has deep roots in the Greek Cypriot community. He is wildy prolific, and his joyful and dynamic paintings have been bursting out of his studio for over 50 years. The launch was an opportunity to have a first look at the paintings in the gallery, there was also special screening of a new film made by Keith Roberts about John Kiki. John and his family made the trip to The Corn Hall for the launch of the Exhibition.
The Exhibition features both early work and brand-new paintings, curated by David Bateman. The show is coupled to the publication of two new books, a revised and updated biography and one specifically about his infanta paintings. Both the books and the artworks are available to buy.
